The Struggle
The struggle was real.
Each day, a fight to pay.
Every interaction, every exchange,
Is it mine, is it yours,
Who will prevail?
-
Wishing for peace,
Hoping for love,
Living to fight each day,
Longing for another way.
-
It wasn’t to be,
No way to be free,
By looking and longing,
Outside of me.
-
Alas a journey,
Deep into the darkness,
Where shadows await,
All I create.
-
Oh the horror,
Oh the suffering,
We put ourselves through,
Not once, not twice,
Not three times baby.
-
Perpetual, relentless,
Never ending thoughts.
Replaying, on repeat,
Until the day I found a way.
-
To change the track,
To release the demons,
To walk into the light,
Finding my way,
Thank God and Universe.
-
You see, the struggles not real,
The suffering self inflicted.
No need to continue,
A path of pain.
-
Each has a choice,
Live in love and light.
Give up the fight,
Against all fright.
-
Join with me,
Walk with God,
Be light, do right.
You too, can end the suffering.
-
It begins within,
Brave journey must you take.
No short cuts, no avoiding,
But riches await,
Nothing equates.
-
An end to suffering,
Is yours to have.
I found mine,
Won’t you join me,
It’s divine.
