Love's Peace
They go beyond all sorrow who extinguish their self-will and behold the glory of the Self through the grace of the Lord of Love.” - The Katha Upanishad
“Hidden in the heart of every creature exists the Self, subtler than the subtlest, greater than the greatest. They go beyond all sorrow who extinguish their self-will and behold the glory of the Self through the grace of the Lord of Love.” - The Katha Upanishad
Love’s Peace
I sought thee near and far,
Memory faded and allusive,
Of a distant time and place,
Profoundly serene.
-
Alone and afraid,
Steely resolve forged,
In fires of lies and illusion,
Unable to speak truth.
-
Turning the tables,
From on the run and hiding,
Metamorphosed into the spotlight,
Finding strength in being known.
-
Hiding in plain sight,
No longer any fright,
Forgotten the horrors,
Numbed the pain.
-
But for a twist and turn,
Deep down innate yearns,
A different path found,
Destiny’s manifest burns.
-
Redirecting life’s power,
Incorporating struggles hard,
Earned strengths and prowess,
Turned inward hour after hour.
-
Revelation of One,
Buried treasure within,
Mind’s eye the missing map,
All seeking done.
-
Eminent beyond words,
Gratitude’s key unlocks,
Golden white light and joy,
Melted away my sword.
-
GOD’s embrace unceasing,
Unconditional, gentle and kind,
Yet infinitely unyielding,
Forever thankful for Love’s Peace.
