Dignity Awakening?
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”Matthew 25:40 NIV
-
Dignity Awakening?
Beauty lies within,
Been told over again.
Yet Rodeo drive, very alive,
Pretty faces, shiny objects.
-
Lakers fans, So-Fi stadium,
Billions for this,
Or that groups interests,
Important people, no time to spare.
-
Yet down the block
On the street, broken clock,
Fellow humans live,
In squalor and filth.
-
Someone’s daughter,
Another’s son,
Each a story,
Never be told.
-
Poor choices,
Bad luck,
Left instead of right,
Led them to their plight.
-
A human being,
Dirty shirt,
Inner light,
Brought forth in spite.
-
Deep down knowing,
Driving past pretending
Someone else’s problem,
Not my cross amending.
-
Yet God sees through,
Our self imposed facade.
Inside nothing fake, one race,
Will dignity awake?
