Aligning My Soul, Amidst the Clutter, A Boy Within
TikTok, Twitter, Snap, and Insta, email, text, WhatsApp
what’d I miss here?
A world full of clutter, always something new to explore
Wondering, is there something I wish I knew before?
Lost souls wandering, seeking meaning in life
Working hard, checking the phone, amidst increasing strife
Ponder why, therapy found its place
Stressful living, working alone in this race
Or perhaps a reason well known, we must face
We've allowed technology to infiltrate
Every corner of our lives, leaving no solace
Malice or not, enough to debilitate
Yearning a simpler time, we might underrate
Before the tech could so penetrate
Do we remember, an unconnected state?
Put down that phone
Switch off that device
These aren't necessities for a wholesome life
Go for a walk, yawn like a bear
Check out the trees, the bees and the birds in the air
Bring back that boy, before the despair
In coping, we may find angst and sorrow, it's true
But by aligning our souls, a balance we'll pursue
With God and Nature, our hearts will rhyme
Discovering peace, in this chaotic time
